My friend photographer, J-F Vergel created a beautiful and moving video of everyday objects in his home – doorknob, crucifix collection etc. Mesmerized, I had to have one of my own! Fortunately with a birthday within acceptable gift requesting time, I begged politely requested that he assemble one for me. I gave him full creative control – including keys to my apartment & my work schedule so he could photograph without my presence slash input. Plus I think it interesting to see a non-resident’s perspective of the presentation of my possessions.
J-F shot & edited everything on his iphone which means, you needn’t be a professional photographer to document the small details of your home in a captivating way. I think this would be an amazing thank you gift after being a house guest for a weekend. What a special way to acknowledge how much you appreciate the role of your hostess.
