Yesterday I walked into an unassuming building on the Upper East Side and emerged 90 minutes later looking refreshed, rested and revived with silky smooth skin. This was no easy feat as I had slept less than 3 hours and was out the door by 6:30am. It was though I had been vacationing at the beach for the past fortnight. I wasn’t a part of some weird futuristic rejuvenation experiment – I just had a supremely executed facial.
Jaime Carson is the bomb dot com – if that’s still a thing. She is adorable, affable, knowledgeable and most importantly gentle. I was thoroughly impressed with her technique and execution. Silky smooth skin is what I was left with after my time with her.
I’m not obsessive about skin care maintenance but I do try to get a seasonal deep clean. If I am going to continue sitting in the sun, stuffing my face with sugar and drinking significantly less water than I should, having someone steam, slather lotions and serums all over my face for 1.5 hours is a decadent, but reasonable price to pay.
