I am not a shopper, but I have traveled with one and have amassed quite a few dos & don’ts, when buying abroad. When making a significant, whether in size or stature purchase that will be shipped home, it is critical to take multiple photos of what you have bought and any identifying marks & labels. Also, take a photo of the paperwork next to your new acquisition. Once you have adequately documented the goods, send the snaps to the cloud. Depending on your phone’s data, this isn’t a series you’ll want to delete to make space for the next day’s elephant trek.
During the weeks it may take to receive your goods, your memory of its appearance may not be as accurate and acute as it was the day after purchase. This also ensures that nothing was lost in transit – whether in the shipping container or at customs.
Of course, if you want to have a little organization around those trip photos, call photojeanie and we’ll make sure your treasured travel memories are properly preserved.
