With the end of the school year rapidly approaching and the start of the camp season (I needn’t reiterate how much I envy Maine bound girls), I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to help you craft your summer reading list.
Oddly, my entire suggested reading happens to feature me. Being an Aries, first born and for a whole bunch of other astrological reasons, I am incapable of the humble brag, so I am just going to tell you how awesome it is to be included in 3 different publications within the same month! Seriously, I am en fuego! (Full disclosure – both Flea Market Decor & Karen Jeanette’s Upcycled Style are the same publisher and we’ve had a long successful relationship with the editor of both magazines.)
The premier issue of Upcycled Style ponies up 10 pages of an apartmentjeanie client’s Upper West Side apartment. I can’t take credit for the decor – the homeowner didn’t need assistance in design, but we were given full breadth to restyle, reorganize, rehang and rearrange the furniture and case goods. She says she & her husband felt like it was a completely new apartment. We didn’t purchase anything yet created the sensation of an entirely new home. It’s like we’re magicians!
Speaking of which, if you like bold, inventive & creative interiors, this issue of Flea Market Decor is magical! Every feature is fabulous and their extensive guide of the best US Flea Markets makes this an excellent travel resource guide. I’m already plotting my tour stops for the next 12 months.
And my final shameless shout out is to FabJob Guide to Become a Closet Organizer for including me as one of their esteemed contributing experts in this publication and accompanying textbook. I am not even going to suggest that you purchase this unless you know someone considering a career in the closet organization field because it really is a handy reference.
Since we’re in the business of advocating less mess and clutter – you can forgo purchasing the periodicals by perusing our press page, unless you are my parents, then you have to own a hard copy.
See you in the funny pages,
xxoo.
