It will probably take longer for me to write this post than it took for me to create a sweet magnet board from a discarded cookie tin found on the trash pile my dogs were scouting as a potential toilet – that included bringing home & thoroughly cleaning. This cookie tin caught my eye as the *tempting* selection seemed so dated and it was – there was a partial price tag from Philly’s own Strawbridge & Clothier which closed years ago. As anyone who follows my Pinterest ‘YUM‘ board can attest – me likes cookies.
We all learned in grade school metal acts as a magnet and this creates a plethora of super cool, graphic & nostalgic options for a fun & expressive magnetic board. I’ve created magnet boards from vintage Coca-Cola signs and I have one hanging in my closet which displays – important, but non-essential items, like specialty store credits and upcoming concert tickets that might get lost in my overly organized office. Since there are so many sizes in which to choose, one could have a different board for each category, family member & room in the home without sacrificing style & personality.
Do you have a favorite trash to treasure prize? Post it to the apartmentjeanie facebook page – I’d love to share it with the fans.
xxoo.
