Earlier today I sent a photo of Tater Tot to his pal Hal (aka the dog walker). Tater had walked out of the beach rental and was taking an early siesta in the sun, it was super adorbs. Hal mentioned he was happy Tater was enjoying his vacation. I found the thought of Tater being on vacation rather amusing – everyday of his life is a summer holiday! And then I came to the realization that our annual trip to Charleston isn’t just a vacation for me with my dog.
A vacation is a break in routine (and hopefully from work) – whether it’s a fast paced European excursion, a relaxing resort respite or a soothing staycation. Our time at the beach is a break in Tater’s everyday existence. He isn’t being dragged around Manhattan to do errands, instead he determines where we walk and what we do when on foot. He gets to eat a slew of snacks that I would never permit otherwise and sits at the counter in his own seat like a true barfly.
Sometimes it’s a casual observation that opens our eyes to a new, fresh way of thinking. Or an innocent comment that shakes us out of a toxic habit. It’s also how we create major transformations in our clients’ spaces and lives. Our experience enables us to structure routines and edit the excess. Our team can construct beauty out of chaos.
And most importantly, our interior design styling skills will make you feel like your home went on spa vacation and is completely refreshed and ready to support your needs.
